Job summary

IDEA (Islamic Development & Empowerment in America) in Portland, OR seeks a part-time Development Coordinator to build and nurture donor, masjid, business, and community relationships. You will support fundraising, outreach opportunities, and regional campaigns while coordinating with staff, volunteers, and partners to advance Fund Development goals.

Qualifications

Experience in fundraising and donor engagement is required.
Familiarity with grassroots community work and local networks.
Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills.
Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
Ability to travel 60% and work evenings/weekends as needed.
Ability to work independently and with volunteers.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain relationships with donors, masajid, businesses, and communities.
Plan and conduct outreach visits and represent IDEA at events.
Support regional fundraising campaigns and events in collaboration with staff and volunteers.
Prepare plans, projections, and reports for the Regional Community Fund Development Manager.
Respond to inquiries with timely information about campaigns and opportunities.
