Job summary

IDEA (Islamic Development & Empowerment in America) is seeking a Development Coordinator to build and maintain relationships with masjid, business, donor, and community partners, advancing IDEA’s mission in America.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will manage an assigned portfolio, support regional fundraising activities, travel domestically up to 60%, and collaborate with staff, volunteers, and partners to expand donor engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience with grassroots organizations or community engagement.
• Familiarity with local Muslim communities and leaders.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent oral communication and public speaking skills.
• Ability to work independently and with volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with donors, masajid, businesses, and community groups.
• Strengthen existing masajid relationships and build new connections.
• Conduct outreach visits and represent IDEA at events.
• Plan and support regional fundraising activities with staff and volunteers.
• Respond to inquiries about IDEA’s campaigns and opportunities for engagement.
• Deliver presentations to diverse audiences.
• Prepare plans and reports for the Regional Community Fund Development Manager.
• Research local communities and opportunities to inform fundraising strategy.
• Pursue ongoing professional development.
