Job summary

IDEA (Islamic Development & Empowerment in America) is seeking a part-time Development Coordinator in Nashville, TN to build and maintain relationships with donors, masjid communities, businesses, and volunteers to advance IDEA’s mission and Fund Development goals.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will manage an assigned portfolio, support regional events and campaigns, travel within the area, deliver presentations, and collaborate with regional staff and partners to strengthen donor

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Experience with grassroots organizations or community engagement.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 60% within the designated area; potential regional/national travel.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace; Salesforce or similar platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain positive relationships with donors, masajid, businesses, community institutions, volunteers, and the general public throughout the assigned area.
• Strengthen relationships with existing masajid and identify opportunities to establish relationships with new masajid and communities.
• Conduct outreach visits and represent IDEA at community events and program engagements as assigned.
• Plan, organize, host, and support regional fundraising activities and events in coordination with the Regional Manager, Event Coordinator, other staff, and volunteers.
• Respond to donor and community inquiries with accurate information about IDEA’s campaigns and opportunities for engagement.
• Deliver presentations to diverse audiences.
• Prepare plans, projections, and reports to management.
• Research local communities and opportunities to support fundraising strategies.
• Engage in ongoing training and professional development.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
