Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs Of The Valley is seeking a Development Officer - Individual Giving in Phoenix to cultivate, solicit, retain, upgrade, and steward a portfolio of individual donors and prospects. You will bridge annual giving with Major Gifts and work with BGCAZ’s Resource Development team to maximize donor engagement and revenue.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have and maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license.
• Minimum of 2 years working in the nonprofit sector.

Responsibilities

• Manages a portfolio of 150–250 individual donors and prospects.
• Develops cultivation, solicitation, upgrade, renewal, and stewardship plans for portfolio members.
• Maintains regular contact with donors through meetings, calls, visits, events, and email.
• Identifies donor interests and capacity for deeper giving.
• Uses moves-management to track opportunities and next steps.
• Requests annual, leadership-level, and special philanthropic investments from assigned donors.
• Aims to achieve an annual portfolio revenue around $750,000 when fully ramped.
• Partners with the Resource Development team to grow BGCAZ donor base.
