Job summary

Guideship seeks a Fundraising Non-Profit Development Coordinator to provide administrative and operational support to HR and Development efforts.

The role assists onboarding, HR compliance, donor stewardship, sponsorship development, grant research, and special events, collaborating with leadership, staff, volunteers, donors, sponsors, and community partners.

Hybrid work arrangement in Silver Spring, MD, enabling engagement with donors and community partners to advance the organization’s mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or combination of education and experience).
• Approximately one year of nonprofit administration or fundraising experience.
• Knowledge of basic HR principles and employment practices.
• Ability to work independently with sound judgment.
• Familiarity with employment laws and HR compliance.
• Experience coordinating meetings, events, or projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute annual fundraising campaigns and community initiatives.
• Research prospective donors, sponsors, grants, and partnerships.
• Support donor cultivation and stewardship through communications and acknowledgments.
• Prepare sponsorship materials and promotional content.
• Coordinate fundraising events including logistics and volunteers.
• Maintain donor databases and record donations and metrics.
• Assist with grant research and supporting documentation.
• Support marketing via email, newsletters, social media.
• Build relationships with donors, sponsors, volunteers, board members, and community orgs.
