Job summary

Colorado Coalition for the Homeless is seeking a Donor Services & Events Coordinator to support the Philanthropy Department and donors with exceptional service and to plan cultivation and stewardship events during peak giving season.

The role handles gift processing, acknowledgments, tax receipts, and data entry, collaborating with leadership on an events plan and major gifts support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred.
• Minimum three (3) years' experience with administrative support, data entry, and event planning; nonprofit sector experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and fundraising databases (Blackbaud’s Raiser's Edge).

Responsibilities

• Assist Donor Services Specialist with gift processing, batching, acknowledgments, and tax receipts.
• Backup support for gift processing and acknowledgments.
• Develop and implement an events plan for the Philanthropy Department, including donor recognition and cultivation events.
• Coordinate organizational events, including scheduling, room reservations, and logistics.
• Respond to donor inquiries via phone, email, and written channels with excellent service.
• Support records management and data entry projects.
• Maintain and update charity rating sites (e.g., Charity Navigator, Candid).
• Process third-party fundraising applications (CFC, Colorado Combined Campaign).
• Order office supplies and ensure systems records are up-to-date.
