Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Development Associate to support the Education - Office of the Dean with administrative, operational, and donor stewardship responsibilities on a collaborative Development Team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Three years of experience in development, fundraising, event planning, or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
• Strong organizational, time management, and project management abilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated, proactive team player with problem-solving and customer service skills.
• Experience coordinating vendors, events, and multiple stakeholders.
• Proficiency with databases and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Schedule meetings and coordinate calendars, resources, and logistics for gift officers and leadership.
• Prepare RTAs, OOEFs, and reimbursements for travel and expenses.
• Liaise between Development Team and Business Services to ensure policy compliance.
• Manage calendar, materials, and follow-up items.
• Maintain donor database, activity notes, and event attendance tracking.
• Maintain electronic development files and records.
• Coordinate donor stewardship efforts like cards and gifts.
