Job summary

The Center for Victims of Torture is seeking a Development Associate to support CVT’s fundraising strategy for individual donors by coordinating gift processing, acknowledgments, donor communications and donor information administration.

This role also supports development events, including the annual Restoring Hope breakfast and other cultivation and community events, helping to promote a culture of philanthropy throughout the organization.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of fundraising experience
• Experience with Raiser’s Edge database and complex data processes
• Experience with prospect research
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 1-2 years of experience in event coordination
• Data entry, specifically donor-related
• Gift processing

Responsibilities

• Gift Stewardship Administration: Process gifts, prepare bank deposits and reconcile financial records; prepare thank you letters and receipts for donors.
• Database Coordination: Use Raiser's Edge; ensure data integrity; run queries for mailings and donor reports.
• Event Coordination: Organize fundraising events including the annual breakfast and donor briefings.
