Job summary

The Center for Victims of Torture in Minnesota seeks an Events Specialist to advance CVT’s fundraising by planning and delivering public and private events locally and nationally. You will engage donors, volunteers and corporations to build relationships and support for CVT.

Events raise funds, provide program updates, and increase awareness of torture; you will coordinate logistics, donor cultivation activities, sponsorships, and reporting with the Development Department.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in events management and/or fundraising.
• Experience planning and executing donor cultivation events is preferred.
• Proficiency with Raiser's Edge or equivalent fundraising software desired.

Responsibilities

• Raise funds by leading and implementing regular fundraising and donor cultivation events.
• Coordinate logistical and administrative details for events.
• Partner with Communications to market events and develop programming content.
• Build relationships with current and prospective donors and engage attendees post-event.
• Manage sponsorships and solicit corporate support.
