Job summary

The YMCA in Chattanooga, TN is seeking an experienced Director of Mission Advancement to partner with the Chief Development Officer in leading fundraising efforts and advancing the Association's mission. You will grow philanthropic leadership, manage donor relations, coordinate events, and coach staff while modeling YMCA core values in a community-focused environment.

You will collaborate with leadership to strengthen the donor pipeline and drive ongoing community impact in the Chattanooga area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Three or more years of fundraising experience, nonprofit preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with diverse communities.
• Knowledge of giving vehicles and donor pipelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an Annual Giving Campaign plan.
• Maintain Development plan, calendars, goals, and KPIs.
• Coach and train staff on fundraising best practices.
• Oversee Major Gifts portfolio and moves management.
• Maintain a portfolio of major donor prospects for cultivation.
• Serve as liaison to Board, advisory council, volunteers, and donors.
• Manage campaigns using Daxko and MobileCause with reporting.
• Coordinate association events and donor recognition efforts.
• Attend staff meetings and model YMCA core values.
