Job summary

Akron Area YMCA is seeking a Development Director to lead annual giving, grants, endowment, and capital campaigns to advance the Y's mission. You will build engaged volunteers and collaborate with staff and the board to expand fundraising capacity and community impact.

The role emphasizes donor cultivation, grant management, and developing fundraising plans to support growth and program expansion in Akron, Ohio.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of professional fundraising experience in the YMCA or another nonprofit.
• CFRE certification (preferred) and demonstrated ability to lead fundraising initiatives.
• Experience cultivating donors, grant writing, and managing campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement annual fundraising plans including campaigns, grants, endowment, and capital campaigns.
• Identify and cultivate major donors, foundations, and corporate partners.
• Lead and train staff and volunteers in fundraising techniques and campaigns.
