Job summary

The Land Institute seeks a Development Operations Specialist to keep fundraising systems accurate and efficient. You will process gifts, maintain constituent records in the CRM, support reporting, and help administer systems that enable philanthropy and community engagement.

You will partner with Development and Communications colleagues to improve processes, ensure data quality, and support donor engagement.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years in development operations or nonprofit administration.
• Experience with fundraising CRM platforms preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Process charitable contributions accurately and promptly.
• Maintain complete constituent records in the CRM.
• Reconcile gifts with Finance to ensure financial accuracy.
• Generate gift receipts and supporting documentation.
• Maintain campaign coding structures within the CRM.
• Support reporting and donor segmentation, mailing lists, and campaigns.
• Assist with data requests and operational support across Development and Communications.
• Identify opportunities to improve recurring processes and share recommendations.
