Job summary

The California Community Foundation seeks a Development and Donor Operations Specialist to enhance donor relations, stewardship and data-driven operations in a fast-paced nonprofit environment. You will collaborate with Donor Relations, Grants Management and Accounting to ensure timely, impactful philanthropy.

Reporting to the Director of Development and Donor Operations, you will manage life income gift administration, donor communications and internal procedures to improve efficiency and donor

Qualifications

• Three to five years in customer service, client or donor relations.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple demands.
• Strong knowledge of the nonprofit community in Los Angeles County.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM/database software.

Responsibilities

• Donor Relations: Provides responsive and comprehensive customer service to high net worth donors with professionalsim and coordination with other teams.
• Donor Stewardship and Custom Engagement: Manages donor engagement and stewardship activities and calendars.
• Supporting Organization Management: Oversees compliance needs and project management for the $80 million supporting organization program.
• Custom Fund & Donor Operations: Manages funds and donors with complex needs, including life income programs.
• Customer Experience: Ensures quality donor experience and audits database processes for efficiency.
• Mission Orientation & Integration: Stays informed on grantmaking trends affecting Los Angeles communities.
• Research and Reporting: Creates metrics and reports; conducts donor research.
• Processes & Procedure: Writes memos, guides and procedures for clarity.
• Education: Keeps current on gift regulations and donor fund management.
