Zusammenfassung

CSL Vifor seeks a medical professional to evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures and to provide limited emergency care to donors and staff. You will interview donors to obtain medical history and determine eligibility to donate plasma.

Working with the Center Medical Director, you will review test results, assess donor symptoms, and counsel donors on reactive results while following standard operating procedures and escalating critical cases as needed.

Qualifikationen

• Graduation from a paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, medical school or naturopathic medical training program.
• If graduation is from a foreign allopathic or osteopathic medical school, must also currently be licensed as a physician or state certification as an emergency medical technician
• For NY: current state licensure or certification as the RN, MD or DO in the state you are applying for work or in a reciprocal state

Aufgaben

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures under general supervision.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff including administering medication or treatments per licensure or certification.
• Interview donors and perform medical history reviews to determine donor suitability.
• Coordinate with the Center Medical Director to address medically related questions and provide information on donor suitability.
• Review test results and assess donor symptoms to determine continued donor suitability.
• Notify and counsel donors regarding reactive test results; refer donors to appropriate facilities for follow-up and counseling.
• Provide routine care following SOPs and escalate critical medical situations to the Center Physician or local medical service providers as required.
