St. Matthew’s House seeks a Development Officer to cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of donors capable of significant philanthropic investments.

You will work with the Director of Individual Giving to increase donor retention, annual giving, and overall engagement through personalized cultivation and strategic proposals. Responsibilities include donor research, personalized outreach, event participation, and collaboration with leadership to advance planned giving opportunities.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; at least three years of fundraising or donor-relations experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to plan, implement and manage development initiatives.
• Proficiency with fundraising CRMs (Virtuous, Raiser's Edge, Salesforce).
• Strong organizational skills and confidentiality.
• Ability to travel locally (25–35%).

Responsabilidades

• Manage a portfolio of 150–250 donors/prospects with cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship plans.
• Develop donor relationships using AI, visits, calls, notes, and emails.
• Identify new prospects from mail upgrades, events, referrals, and research.
• Meet donor retention and revenue goals for assigned relationships.
• Maintain CRM records accurately and timely.
