Job summary

The Salvation Army Orange County Fountain Valley Store is seeking a Donation Attendant to support a welcoming shopping and donation experience. You will help process donations, stock merchandise, and ensure an organized, clean storefront.

This full-time role requires good math, POS cash handling, clear communication, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, paid time off, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Able to operate POS/Cash Register and handle cash transactions.
• Must pass a background check, including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow employees, customers, and donors.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and donors warmly to assist needs.
• Stock donated items for sale.
• Maintain store and donation area cleanliness.
• Perform cleaning duties as assigned.
• Follow POS/Cash Register policies.
• Maintain safety and compliance standards.
• Attend monthly store meetings.
• Receive, unload, and stock inventory items.
• Inspect products for defects.
• Assist donors with item removal and provide receipts.
• Sort donated material into proper containers.
