Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern California is seeking a Donation Attendant for the Orange Store to support the Adult Rehabilitation Program. You will help donors with donations, issue receipts, and maintain organized records on shift.

This full-time position offers benefits and a dynamic team environment, with a focus on customer service, teamwork, and attention to detail in processing donations and supporting program operations.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must pass background check, including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to read and write and to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow store employees, customers, and donors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean the donation trailer/pod area at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Assist the donor in the receipt of donated items from the donor and provide receipt.
• Maintain all reports and paperwork as instructed by Supervisor.
• Separate and sort donated material into proper containers, and properly stack material as instructed by the Supervisor.
• Assist TSA PA/Drivers with loading donations onto trucks as necessary.
• Inform the supervisor of needed items prior to running out (e.g.: brooms, receipts, totes, carts).
• Secure and lock Donation trailer/pod at the end of each shift.
