Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store Orange is seeking a part-time Sales Associate to welcome customers and donors, stock merchandise, and keep the store tidy. You will follow TSA cashier policies, assist with donations, and ensure a positive shopping and donor experience.

Paid training and benefits for part-time team members, with schedules seven days a week and options for evenings and weekends. Must pass background check and enjoy teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate POS/cash register accurately.
• Strong communication with customers and donors.
• Ability to pass a background check including criminal history and sex offender registry.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and donors and provide prompt, courteous assistance.
• Stock and merchandize items for sale on the floor.
• Maintain store and donation areas, keeping them clean and organized.
• Perform cleaning duties as directed by management.
• Follow POS/Cash Register policies and TSA procedures.
• Maintain safety and compliance standards.
• Attend monthly store meetings.
• Receive, unload, and stock incoming inventory accurately.
• Inspect items for defects to assure quality.
• Assist donors with removing items from vehicles and provide receipts.
• Sort and containerize donated materials as instructed by management.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
