Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Central Florida is seeking a friendly, efficient donation processor to greet customers and donors, receive donations, issue receipts, and assist with lifting items. The role emphasizes courtesy, accuracy, and safe handling in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities include sorting donations by quality, pricing hard goods, maintaining clean stockrooms and work areas, and following safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Previous retail or stock handling experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills and barcode scanner familiarity.
• Strong customer service orientation and communication.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and donors with a courteous, friendly and professional attitude.
• Receive donations and issue receipts; assist customers with lifting items.
• Sort donations into carts or bins and assess quality.
• Sort and price hard goods (wares).
• Maintain clean and safe production and store areas.
• Follow safety procedures and respond to emergencies.
• Assist processors and provide general information as needed.
