Job summary

The YMCA of Greater New York is seeking an Annual Giving Specialist to expand the Y’s Annual Fund and related campaigns across its 24 branches in New York City. You will help plan, coordinate, and execute appeals, endurance events, and peer-to-peer programs to engage donors and strengthen revenue.

As a key liaison to Branch staff and external partners, you will support donor communications, data processes, and digital fundraising platforms, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• 2–3 years nonprofit development or donor engagement experience.
• Experience supporting Annual Fund, monthly giving, or peer-to-peer campaigns.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent donor-facing writing and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with CRM/email platforms (Salesforce, Marketing Cloud) preferred.
• Familiarity with HTML and content management systems is a plus.
• Collaborative, fast-paced, results-oriented team player.

Responsibilities

• Support production and coordination of citywide annual appeals.
• Coordinate endurance event participant recruitment and outreach.
• Collaborate with Donor Ops on registrations, vendors, and data.
• Liaise with Branch staff to support local fundraising and communications.
• Support annual giving outreach calendar and email performance tracking.
• Support digital fundraising platforms and web content updates.
• Assist Fund Development with events and special projects.
