The YMCA of Montclair seeks a motivated, organized Development and Annual Giving Manager to support the organization’s fundraising efforts and strengthen relationships with donors and community supporters.

Reporting to the Chief Philanthropy Officer, this hands‑on role coordinates annual giving campaigns, supports donor cultivation and stewardship, and helps implement fundraising initiatives that advance the Y’s mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
• Minimum four years of relevant experience in nonprofit fundraising, development, annual giving, or a related field.
• Experience supporting fundraising campaigns, donor communications, and stewardship activities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and follow through on assigned projects.
• Strong interpretation skills and a genuine interest in building donor and community relationships.
• Experience using donor management databases and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, board members, and community partners.
• Commitment to the YMCA of Montclair’s mission and values.
• Must have a CPR/AED and First Aid Certification OR get certified within 90 days of employment.
