Job summary

The YMCA of Greater New York invites applications for an Annual Giving Specialist to advance the Y's Annual Fund and donor engagement across 24 branches. The role focuses on planning endurance and peer-to-peer fundraising, coordinating with internal teams and external partners.

You will support citywide campaigns, recruitment of endurance participants, and manage digital fundraising platforms, with collaboration across Branch staff and Donor Ops to grow revenue and donor participation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required.
• 2-3 years in nonprofit development, annual or individual giving, donor engagement, or related administrative role.
• Experience supporting Annual Fund, monthly giving, campaigns, or peer-to-peer fundraising initiatives.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent writing and verbal communication for donor-facing content.
• Experience with CRM/Email platforms such as Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, or similar systems.

Responsibilities

• Support citywide materials for annual appeals, campaigns, giving days, and endurance events with internal teams and external partners.
• Coordinate recruitment and onboarding of endurance event participants and ongoing fundraising communications.
• Collaborate with Donor Ops on participant registration, vendor logistics, data, and operational needs for endurance events.
• Serve as a liaison to Branch staff, maintaining Annual Fund tools, resources, and materials.
• Guide Branch staff in communicating and participating in Association-wide initiatives and fundraising efforts.
• Coordinate annual giving outreach calendar, tracking deliverables and email performance.
