Position Summary:

The Advancement Data Coordinator will help Easterseals Redwood use Raiser’s Edge NXT and donor data more effectively to strengthen fundraising strategy, stewardship, and reporting. This role will manage accurate gift processing and acknowledgements, maintain clean and reliable donor records, create reports and analysis that support informed decision‑making, and help the Advancement team identify opportunities for targeted outreach, segmentation, and donor engagement. The ideal candidate brings strong database skills, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to translate data into practical tools that help the team grow fundraising results.

Reporting to the Director of Advancement, the Advancement Data Coordinator will help ensure Easterseals Redwood’s advancement team has accurate donor information, useful reports, and well‑prepared materials to manage and grow relationships with supporters. Success in this role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong follow‑through, curiosity about what the data can tell us, and a commitment to using information to improve fundraising results.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee the effective use of Raiser’s Edge NXT to facilitate clear communication, analysis, reporting, and prompt stewardship to our funders, partners, and volunteers.
• Manage philanthropic gift processing, including gift entry, acknowledgement, gift agreements, pledge tracking, reconciliation, reporting, and ongoing data quality related to donor and gift records.
• Provide donor research, reporting, list analysis, and data insights that help the Advancement team prioritize prospects, prepare for donor meetings, evaluate fundraising activity, and identify opportunities for follow‑up.
• Support fundraising appeals by building and reviewing donor lists, applying segmentation strategies, preparing merge files, and helping ensure accurate, timely, and targeted outreach.
• Provide responsive and professional service to donors and other constituencies, including researching donor record questions, coordinating timely follow‑up, and helping ensure supporters receive accurate information and appropriate stewardship.
• Analyze donor data to support targeted fundraising initiatives, segmented outreach, donor retention efforts, prospect identification, and campaign planning.
• Support special events by developing invitation lists, segmenting donor and prospect groups, tracking responses and follow‑up needs, preparing reports, and coordinating other event data requirements as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education/Qualifications:

• Belief in the mission and values of Easterseals Redwood.
• Bachelor’s degree and 1-3years of professional experience in nonprofit fundraising, advancement operations, donor services, data management, or a related field.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem‑solving skills with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Experience using a donor database is required; experience with Raiser’s Edge NXT, gift processing, reporting, queries, exports, lists, and data hygiene is strongly preferred.
• Open to occasional local travel to attend meetings and events as needed.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Possesses critical thinking and problem‑solving skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to identify data inconsistencies, ask good questions, and recommend practical improvements.
• Makes timely and effective decisions in the absence of perfect information.
• Values cultural diversity and best recognizes and utilizes individual abilities, skills, and characteristics when collaborating with others to complete work tasks.
