Job summary

Easterseals Redwood in Cincinnati seeks an Independent Giving Officer to drive mid-level and major gifts, steward donor relationships, and expand support for Veterans, Disabilities, and Workforce Development programs. The role focuses on revenue growth from individual donors and sustaining engagement across regions.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years in fundraising or sales, strong communication, CRM experience, and a collaborative mindset to help the advancement team reach annual goals and

Qualifications

  • Minimum two to four years proven success in fundraising/development or sales and marketing.
  • Creative, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn and meet new people.
  • Experience with donor database or CRM is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of up to 150 donors through effective communication and ongoing stewardship with a goal to increase engagement and giving.
  • Develop and implement strategies for retention, cultivation, and solicitation of existing and new donors.
  • Utilize data and research tools to identify new opportunities and giving trends to grow contributions.
  • Maintain accurate records of all interactions with donors using agency’s fundraising database, Raiser’s Edge NXT.
  • Serve as a resource and collaborative team member. Attend events as needed to engage with donors.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

The Individual Giving Officer is a member of the Advancement team and is responsible for developing and executing strategies that increase, diversify, and sustain mid-level and major gifts from individuals for Easterseals Redwood’s programs in the service areas of Military & Veterans, Disabilities, and Workforce Development. This position’s primary focus is generating revenue from individual donors, the largest source of philanthropic funds for the organization. The Individual Giving Officer is responsible for stewarding existing donor relationships and prospecting for new support through research and outreach. The ideal candidate is a relationship-oriented professional who can connect donors to the mission of Easterseals Redwood, leading to increased retention, acquisition, and giving.

Job Responsibilities
