Job summary

American Ballet Theatre is seeking a Membership Associate to support donor communications, events, and member services. You will generate content for direct mail, email, and telefunding, while upholding the ABT Style Guide and ensuring data quality in donor databases.

You’ll work across Development, Marketing, and Operations to plan newsletters, events, and campaigns. Strong writing, organization, and Salesforce/MailChimp familiarity are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in content marketing, fundraising, events, or customer service.
• Ability to copy edit and follow the ABT Style Guide.
• Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail; multi-tasking capability.
• Excellent donor-facing communication and relationship-building.
• Collaborative work across Development and other departments; willingness to learn new tools.

Responsibilities

• Create content for direct mail, email, and telefunding solicitations.
• Prepare donor acknowledgement letters with Operations; ensure correct mailing addresses.
• Coordinate communications with Marketing for consistency; schedule emails.
• Create and send member-event invitations and newsletters.
• Support fundraising campaigns with content creation and light editing; assist with video capture.
• Contribute to Riverside podcast content; learn WordPress basics for Advancement web pages.
• Collaborate on member materials and research printing bids with Marketing.
