Octapharma Plasma, Inc. in California is seeking a Donor Center professional to evaluate donor eligibility for automated plasmapheresis, administer approved immunizations, and provide limited emergency care as licensed.

The role requires understanding of SOPs, cGMP, and regulatory guidelines within a plasma center. You will engage in medical history reviews, immunization documentation, and donor management, collaborating with a center physician.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized healthcare-related program (Physician, LPN, or RN).
• EMT certification/licensure as allowed by state.
• Current CPR certification.
• State-issued authorization or license to perform moderate complexity testing.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor eligibility through medical history reviews, physical assessments, and informed consent discussions in accordance with SOPs, FDA, CLIA, and cGMP.
• Review, document, and verify donor information, immunization records, and test results in the donor management system (NexLynk).
• Classify donors into appropriate programs and monitor for adverse reactions, providing care as allowed by training and licensure.
• Consult with the center Licensed Physician regarding abnormal results, donor eligibility concerns, and immunization orders.
• Counsel deferred donors, ensure confidentiality, and refer donors to health departments when needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation such as Physician Communication Logs and donor eligibility assessments.
• Train as a Donor Center Technician I and serve as a QA Backup when needed.
• Mentor and train new Medical Professionals as a Designated Trainer to support workforce development.
• Support center compliance with SOPs, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure an efficient, donor-focused environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
