Job summary

Octapharma Plasma, Inc. is seeking a Donor Center role focused on evaluating donor eligibility for automated plasmapheresis and administering approved immunizations per state regulations and SOPs.

The position requires knowledge of donor management systems, ability to train staff, and ensure a donor-focused center environment with occasional emergency care as

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a recognized healthcare-related program (Physician, LPN, or RN).
  • EMT certification/licensing if allowed by state.
  • 1 year of hospital, field care, or plasma center experience preferred.
  • Ability to work day, evening, weekend, holiday, and extended shifts.
  • Current state license/certification (Physician, RN, LPN, EMT, or equivalent).
  • Current CPR certification.
  • State-issued authorization or license to perform moderate complexity testing.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate donor eligibility through medical history reviews, physical assessments, and informed consent discussions per SOPs, FDA, CLIA and cGMP.
  • Review, document, and verify donor information, immunization records, and test results in NexLynk.
  • Classify donors into programs and monitor for adverse reactions, providing care as allowed by training.
  • Consult with center Licensed Physician regarding abnormal results, donor eligibility concerns, and immunization orders.
  • Counsel deferred donors, ensure confidentiality, and refer donors to health departments when needed.
  • Maintain documentation such as Physician Communication Logs and donor eligibility assessments.
  • Train as a Donor Center Technician I and serve as a QA Backup when needed.
  • Mentor and train new Medical Professionals as a Designated Trainer.
  • Support center compliance with SOPs, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with team to ensure efficient, donor-focused environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

Physician, LPN, or RN: Graduate of a recognized healthcare-related program
