Job summary

Octapharma Plasma in Sacramento, CA is hiring to evaluate donors’ eligibility for automated plasmapheresis, administer immunizations per state regulations, and provide limited emergency care as allowed by licensure. The role requires knowledge of SOPs, cGMP, and regulatory guidelines, and involves collaboration across center operations.

You will support donor management in NexLynk, document findings, mentor staff, train as Donor Center Technician I, and ensure ongoing compliance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized healthcare program.
• Current state license/certification (Physician, RN, LPN, EMT, or equivalent).
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor eligibility through medical history reviews, physical assessments, and informed consent discussions in accordance with SOPs, FDA, CLIA, and cGMP.
• Review, document, and verify donor information, immunization records, and test results in the donor management system (NexLynk).
• Classify donors into appropriate programs and monitor for adverse reactions, providing care as allowed by training and licensure.
• Consult with the center Licensed Physician regarding abnormal results, donor eligibility concerns, and immunization orders.
• Counsel deferred donors, ensure confidentiality, and refer donors to health departments when needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation such as Physician Communication Logs and donor eligibility assessments.
• Train as a Donor Center Technician I and serve as a QA Backup when needed.
• Mentor and train new Medical Professionals as a Designated Trainer to support workforce development.
• Support center compliance with SOPs, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure an efficient, donor-focused environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
