Job summary

Grifols North America seeks a Lead Donor Center Technician to support plasma center operations. You will conduct pre-donation medical screenings, determine basic hematocrit and protein levels, and help ensure safe, efficient donor experiences.

Required are a high school diploma or GED and typically two years of related experience. You will maintain donor records, follow FDA/OSHA/CLIA/cGMP procedures, and perform general administrative duties to support center management.

Qualifications

• Two years of related experience typical.
• Cross trained to work in other areas to ensure efficient center operations.
• Must follow state and federal regulations and SOPs (FDA, OSHA, CLIA, cGMP).

Responsibilities

• Conducts pre-donation medical screening per established guidelines.
• Determines Hematocrit (HCT) and Protein via finger stick using hematastat and refractometer.
• Promotes customer satisfaction through appropriate interaction and responsiveness to donor needs.
• Assesses donor suitability and engages in setup, monitoring, and disconnect procedures of plasmapheresis equipment.
• Provides feedback to ineligible donor candidates.
• Ensures all donor screening information is complete and accurate.
• Maintains donor confidentiality and communicates donor medical information to Medical Staff.
• Establishes and maintains donor files and thorough documentation of records.
• Assists in maintaining a clean, organized work area and supplies.
• Disposes of contaminated disposable equipment.
• Builds rapport with donors to support long-term donation.
• Performs general administrative duties, including greeting donors and answering phones.
• Learns and complies with all relevant state and federal regulations and SOPs.
