Job summary

Grifols, S.A. is seeking a donor center staff member to support plasma collection operations at our centers. The role includes conducting pre-donation medical screening, determining key donor metrics, and ensuring donor safety and satisfaction.

The position involves maintaining accurate donor records, interacting with donors, and ensuring adherence to FDA/CLIA/cGMP procedures. A high school diploma and related experience are typically required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; may require state licensures or certificates where applicable.
• Typically requires 2 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Conducts pre-donation medical screening in accordance with established guidelines.
• Determines Hematocrit (HCT) and Protein via finger stick and use of the hematastat and refractometer.
• Promotes customer satisfaction through appropriate interaction and responsiveness to customer needs.
• Assesses donor suitability and engages in setup, monitor, and disconnect procedures of the plasmapheresis machine and donors.
• Provides appropriate feedback to ineligible donor candidates.
• Ensures all donor screening information is complete and accurate prior to donation.
• Effectively communicates donor medical information to Medical Staff.
• Maintains donor files in an organized and efficient manner.
• Maintains thorough documentation of necessary records.
• Assists in maintaining a clean, organized and efficient work area and keeps supplies stocked.
• Disposes of all contaminated disposable equipment.
• Builds rapport with donors to ensure overall customer satisfaction and long-term donation.
• Performs general administrative duties, including greeting donors, answering phones, and assisting center management.
• Complies with state and federal regulations and SOPs (FDA, OSHA, CLIA, cGMP).
• Maintains sanitation and cleaning of equipment and work areas.
