Job summary

CSL is seeking a healthcare professional to evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures and to provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff. You will interview donors and perform medical history reviews to determine eligibility for plasma donation.

Responsibilities include reviewing test results, counseling donors on reactive results, and escalating critical cases with the Center Physician as needed. Some roles may require licensure depending on locality.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from a paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, medical school or naturopathic medical training program.
  • If graduation is from a foreign medical school, must be licensed or EM technician certified.
  • For NY, licensure or RN/MD/DO in the state or reciprocal state.
  • Minimum of one year of relevant healthcare experience.
  • Experience in a plasma or whole blood collection center preferred.
  • Ability to perform physical assessment of heart and lung sounds.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures.
  • Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff.
  • Interview donors and perform medical history reviews.
  • Respond to medically related questions with Center Medical Director.
  • Review test results to determine continued donor suitability.
  • Notify and counsel donors on reactive test results; refer for follow-up.
