Job summary

CSL Plasma is seeking a dedicated clinician to evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures and to provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff.

The role includes interviewing donors, reviewing medical histories, and ensuring donor safety by assessing test results and donor symptoms. Experience in plasma collection centers is preferred, with licensure requirements as applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, medical school or naturopathic medical training program.
• If graduation is from a foreign medical school, must be licensed as physician or certified as EMT.
• Minimum of one year relevant health care experience.
• Experience in a plasma or whole blood collection center preferred.
• Ability to assess heart, lung sounds and signs of drug use.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff including administering medications per licensure.
• Interview donors and perform medical history reviews to determine donor suitability.
• Advise staff on donor suitability with the Center Medical Director.
• Review test results and determine continued donor suitability; assess donor symptoms.
