Bloodworks Northwest is hiring an Associate Blood Collection Specialist in Washington. Qualifications

• High School education or GED equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of strong customer service experience.
• Healthcare or blood banking experience is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within 50 miles.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 60 pounds.
• Willingness to complete an 8-week training program.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow SOPs and maintain attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Screen and assess donor eligibility and vital signs.
• Answer donor questions to obtain informed consent.
• Label blood components and prepare for venipuncture.
• Perform whole blood collection procedures.
• Monitor donors and manage adverse reactions.
• Seal units and prepare shipments.
• Follow universal precautions and biosafety standards.
• Document quality controls to meet FDA standards.
• Interact with donors and team members professionally.
