Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking motivated individuals to support blood collection operations in the Washington, DC area. You will assist with donor care, equipment setup, and safety procedures at collection sites, with paid phlebotomy training available.

Starting pay is $18.97/hour with a variable schedule including weekdays/weekends, and opportunities to grow within a mission-driven organization. A valid driver's license and ability to work in a mobile drive setting are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service experience and strong communication skills are required.
• A current, valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Engage donors and explain the impact of their donation.
• Create a welcoming and friendly environment for donors.
• Maintain detailed records and ensure regulatory compliance.
• May drive Red Cross vehicles and assist with setup/teardown at donation sites.
