Job summary

Goodwill of Greater Washington is hiring a Warehouse Associate in District Heights, MD to sort, process, and prepare donated merchandise for display and sale across our 21 area retail stores. You'll work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

Responsibilities include loading items, maintaining safety, meeting daily quotas, keeping the area clean, and supporting donors and customers. Prior warehouse experience and ability to lift up to 40 pounds are preferred.

Qualifications

• Six months of warehouse experience or related work.
• Ability to perform basic math operations.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend basic instructions.
• Ability to communicate verbally with coworkers effectively.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 40 pounds, and perform physical tasks.
• Multilingual with fluency in English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Sort items on a conveyor belt and load into totes, carts, gaylords, and dollies.
• Place non-sellable merchandise in waste containers.
• Maintain pace to meet daily processing quotas.
• Follow safety and security procedures and report hazards.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Assist with warehouse cleanup and donor service.
