Goodwill of Greater Washington is seeking team members for inventory management in a fast-paced retail environment. You will sort, process, and prepare donated merchandise for display and sale, supporting a high-energy store team and assisting donors and customers.

Responsibilities include item preparation, quality assessment, category sorting, and accurate record-keeping, with emphasis on safety, pace, and customer service.

Formación

• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend basic instruction.
• Ability to communicate effectively with associates and customers.
• Physical requirement to lift up to 25 lbs and stand/walk for long periods.

Responsabilidades

• Transfers merchandise from containers to determine suitability for sales floor according to guidelines.
• Keeps abreast of brand names, designer labels, current and vintage styles.
• Prepares items for the sales floor and evaluates quality, pricing, value, and salability.
• Counts items processed and records on official logs.
• Sorts apparel into boutique, salable, and salvage categories.
• Places items on hangers and transports them to the sales floor with grouping.
• Counts clothing pieces and records on the Daily Hanger Report.
• Places non-sellable merchandise in the appropriate container.
• Follows safety practices and reports hazards to the manager on duty.
• Maintains productivity quotas during shifts.
• Maintains a neat uniform and appearance.
