Job summary

MERS Missouri Goodwill is hiring a Retail Processor for the Overland Park Store - 135th. The role supports donation handling, sorting, pricing, and customer service in a fast-paced retail setting. Must communicate well, stay organized, and follow safety and store procedures.

Hourly full-time position with a starting rate of $15.50 per hour. Monthly bonus up to $250, plus medical, dental, vision, retirement plans, and PTO, with flexible schedules for full-time staff. Nearest market: Overland Park.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred or no degree required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, customers, and management.
• Must be organized and capable of interacting with a diverse work population.
• Math skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Responsibilities

• Handle all donations with care and respect.
• Sort donated goods and purchased goods into categories (sales floor, seasonal, online sales, outlet, trash).
• Inspect donated and purchased goods to distinguish quality for sales, recycling, and online sales.
• Identify and price items using AMI pricing software.
• Maintain high quality and quantity standards while working quickly.
• Stock and maintain cleanliness of the store area.
• Provide positive customer service interactions in-person and over the phone.
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with team members and leadership.
• Follow safe work practices and keep walkways debris-free.
• Maintain a professional appearance per dress code.
• Safeguard agency assets from harm, report incidents of theft.
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
