Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia is seeking a Retail Associate for the Stavemill Crossing location to support donation processing, merchandising, and customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities include inspecting donations, tagging items, and preparing stock for sale while maintaining cleanliness and safety standards. Some evening and weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; combination of education and work experience considered.
• No previous experience required.
• No professional certifications required for this position.
• Not required to drive as part of job duties.
• Must successfully pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Inspect donations and determine marketability per Retail Operations Manual.
• Sort raw materials for store use, salvage, or trash.
• Tag donated items and arrange goods on the sales floor per rotation system.
• Place items on the floor according to productivity standards.
• Maintain uniform dress code and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Cross-train in multiple production and customer service positions.
• Adhere to Assets Protection procedures and communicate with customers and staff.
• Be available to work evenings and/or weekends as needed.
