Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia is seeking a part-time Retail Associate at the Petersburg, VA store to support mission delivery through efficient donations processing and sales floor readiness.

Responsibilities include inspecting donations, sorting materials, tagging items, and maintaining a clean, inviting store. Must lift up to 50 pounds, work evenings/weekends as needed, and pass a background check. High school diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred. Will consider a combination of education and work experience.
• No previous experience required.
• No professional certifications are required for this position.
• The associate is not required to drive as part of their job duties.
• The associate will be required to successfully pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Inspect donations for quality to determine marketability.
• Sort raw materials and categorize for store use, salvage, trash.
• Tag donated items according to rotation system and standards.
• Prepare items for placement on the sales floor according to productivity standards.
• Maintain uniform dress code and a positive attitude.
• Work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment and learn new procedures.
• Adhere to Assets Protection procedures and communicate with customers and peers.
