Job summary

Goodwill Keystone Area is hiring a Merchandise Processor to support Donated Goods Retail. You will sort, price, tag, stock and rotate donations, helping meet production and sales goals while delivering friendly service to customers and donors.

This non-exempt position requires the ability to lift, stand for long periods, work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends, and to follow safety and quality standards in a fast-paced warehouse store.

Qualifications

• No formal education required.
• Must be 18+ due to scheduling and labor law compliance.
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Able to read, write and perform simple math.
• Able to learn and use equipment and technology.
• Able to work in an open warehouse environment with variable conditions.
• Able to follow verbal instructions and work as part of a team.
• Adaptable and flexible to changing duties.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Process textile donations, including sorting, hanging, pricing, tagging and moving product to the sales floor to meet preset production and sales goals for the store.
• Process donations of housewares, electronics, media, shoes, and other items, including sorting, pricing, tagging, and moving product to the sales floor.
• Organize, recover and rotate the sales floor as needed.
• Follow all quality and production standards as set by Goodwill Keystone Area.
• Track production daily and report to supervisor.
• Be knowledgeable of daily, weekly and monthly production and sales goals.
• Selects and identifies appropriate items for Ecommerce department.
• Assist in daily operations within the store with flexibility.
• Ensure quality customer service to all customers, donors and employees.
• Support organizational programs and events.
• Adhere to manuals, handbooks, policies and procedures.
• Contribute to the organization by supporting additional tasks and projects.
• Promote workplace safety and comply with safety requirements.
• Communicate progress, problems, and concerns to the Production Manager.
