Job summary

GESMV is seeking an entry-level retail associate in Ohio to assist in handling donated goods and selling them in our retail stores. You will greet customers, operate the cash register, price items, and ensure quality control of textiles and furniture.

The role requires a willingness to work a flexible schedule, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and adherence to safety and housekeeping standards. Prior retail or box truck experience is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Experience in retail sales, cashiering, customer service, or shipping/receiving preferred.
• Box Truck experience preferred.
• Ability to pass criminal background check and random drug screens.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service in a friendly and professional manner (greeting, selling, telephone, etc.).
• Greet customers and maintain a cheerful disposition when servicing customers.
• Load and sort materials on the trailer according to instructions.
• Inspect textiles, furniture, appliances, and other donated goods to determine saleability.
• Operate cash register accurately.
• Price merchandise according to prescribed criteria.
• Prepare textiles and goods for resale.
• Follow safety and housekeeping practices and maintain clean premises.
