Job summary

Goodwill-Easter-Seals-Miami-Valley-3 in Ohio is seeking a Retail Associate to handle sales, donations processing, and pricing of donated textiles and goods in our stores. You will deliver friendly customer service, operate the cash register, inspect items for saleability, stock shelves, and help maintain a clean, safe store environment.

The role requires a flexible schedule and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Prior retail and cashiering experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Retail sales experience and cashiering preferred.
• Background check and drug Screening may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service in a friendly and professional manner.
• Greet customers and maintain a cheerful disposition.
• Maintain customer service to meet agency standards.
• Load and sort materials on the trailer as instructed.
• Maintain store safety and housekeeping practices.
• Operate cash register accurately and efficiently.
• Inspect textiles, furniture, appliances, and other items for saleability.
• Receive and handle donated goods from donors.
• Sort and hang garments; keep pulling system up to date.
• Stock shelves and maintain displays.
• Ensure quality control standards are met for textiles, furniture, etc.
• Test electrical appliances for safe operation.
• Complete reports on donations and cash drawer as assigned.
• Price merchandise according to prescribed criteria.
• Prepare textiles and goods for resale.
• Disinfect upholstered materials using Steri-Fab.
• Follow dress code and maintain a professional image.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
• Maintain a flexible schedule to meet store needs.
• Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Comply with agency policies, procedures, and safety standards.
