Job summary

Evergreen Goodwill of Northwest Washington is seeking a Material Handler to unload donations, sort goods, and move items to production areas. The role operates in outdoor/warehouse conditions with safety and efficiency emphasized.

Pay is $21.65 per hour, with a non-exempt status. Must be 18+ and no prior experience required; high school diploma preferred. Forklift certification is optional, and eligible personnel meet Seattle Goodwill standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred, but not required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Remove and sort salvage material and garbage from salable goods.
• Sort donations into appropriate bins for further processing.
• Provide a smooth flow of goods to the production floor.
• Use cardboard compactors and identify problems.
• Maintain donor tallies.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
• Demonstrate safe work practices and report hazards.
• Build and maintain internal and external customer satisfaction.
• If applicable: forklift operation in line with Seattle Goodwill standards.
