Job summary

Alabama Goodwill Industries is seeking a Production Team Member at Brook Highland in Birmingham, AL. You will help transport donations from donor vehicles to sorting, categorize items, price merchandise, and prepare stock for the sales floor while delivering world-class customer service.

Qualifications

• Preferably knowledge of retail and/or stock handling.
• Preferably knowledge of popular brands, trends, books, electronics, antiques, and collectibles
• Able to perform basic math skills.
• Able to demonstrate good judgment in recognizing items appropriate for sale.
• Able to maintain a positive, friendly attitude and a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
• Able to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
• Able to follow instructions and comply with policies and procedures.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
• Able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with team leaders, team members, customers, and clients.

Responsibilities

• Transport merchandise from donor vehicles to the donation sorting station.
• Process and sort donations into sellable, salvage, and trash categories.
• Price merchandise using the Good-Better-Best price guide.
• Sort and hang apparel and transport items to the sales floor staging area.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the work area and provide world-class customer service.
• Adhere to store policies and report safety hazards.
