Job summary

Alabama Goodwill Industries is seeking a Production Team Member to transport donations, sort merchandise, and price items for the sales floor. You will ensure quality by following a 10-point check and keep areas clean and organized throughout your shift.

You will work under a Team Leader Coach, handling donor transactions and assisting with loading, unloading, and day-to-day operations while maintaining a high level of customer service and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Preferably knowledge of retail and/or stock handling.
• Preferably knowledge of popular brands, trends, books, electronics, antiques, and collectibles.
• Able to perform basic math skills.
• Able to demonstrate good judgment in recognizing items appropriate for sale.
• Able to maintain a positive, friendly attitude and a neat, clean appearance.
• Able to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
• Able to follow instructions and comply with policies and procedures.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Transport merchandise from donor’s vehicle to the donation sorting station.
• Process and sort donations into sellable, salvage, and trash categories.
• Price merchandise using price guide.
• Sort apparel by category and size; hang and tag on racks.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and counts for stocked goods per hour.
• Assist with loading/unloading of trucks and influx of donations.
