Job summary

Goodwill of Monocacy Valley in Walkersville, MD, is seeking a Store Team Member to lead an excellent customer and brand experience, accepting donations and promoting sales. You will label Gaylords, provide receipts, and assist customers with loading and unloading merchandise while maintaining organization and safety compliance.

The role requires forklift certification, English proficiency, and 18+ age, with a starting pay of $15.15 hourly.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Forklift certification required.
• Ability to read and speak English proficiently.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Accept donations and provide outstanding customer service.
• Label Gaylords correctly.
• Provide receipts to donors.
• Inquire about hazardous donations and direct proper disposal.
• Write up sales tickets and signs for large items.
• Assist loading/unloading merchandise from vehicles.
• Maintain merchandise placement and production room organization.
• Assist in loading/unloading onto/off trucks or trailers.
• Safely operate pallet jack and walkie stacker.
• Conduct daily safety inspections on equipment and follow safety rules.
• Provide floor care at the store as needed.
• Cross-train in other store positions as needed.
• Maintain regular in-person attendance.
