Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Western New York is seeking a strategic Manager of Donation Acquisition to expand the reach and impact of donated goods across the region. You will build partnerships with businesses, schools, and community groups while leading innovative donation programs and data-driven growth initiatives.

The role requires 5+ years in development or related fields, a strong network, and the ability to travel throughout Western New York.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, fundraising, marketing, community engagement, partnership development, or a related field.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and project management skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout Western New York on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategies to increase donated goods across Western New York.
• Build and maintain relationships with businesses, schools, municipalities, healthcare organizations, nonprofit partners, and community groups.
• Identify new donation opportunities, partnerships, and collection channels.
• Lead the planning and execution of Goodwill's Mobile Donation Unit program.
• Research, pilot, and implement new donation acquisition initiatives.
• Analyze donation trends, market opportunities, and performance data to drive growth.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and recommendations for executive leadership.
• Partner with Retail Operations, Logistics, and Marketing to align donation acquisition activities with organizational needs.
• Represent Goodwill at community events, networking functions, and partnership meetings.
