Job summary

Goodwill Southwest Florida is seeking a Donation Door Lead in Punta Gorda, FL to oversee the Donation Door operations, assist attendants, and ensure accurate donation processing.

The role requires a high school diploma, forklift certification preferred, and strong communication skills. Candidates should be able to lift 40 lb regularly, work in variable temperatures, and maintain safety standards across multiple store locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Experience in retail or stock handling preferred.
• Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other donation-handling equipment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Mobility to turn, lean, kneel, bend, and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to see and recognize colors.
• Knowledge of basic math skills.
• Ability to frequently lift items weighing at least 40 pounds; up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Work in environments with variable temperatures.

Employment Type: Full-Time / Hourly

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all operations within the Donation Door area.
• Assist Donation Door Attendants with receiving, recording, sorting, and processing donations.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment safely and effectively.
• Ensure full compliance with Kaizen guidelines, audits, and 5‑minute drill standards.
• Coordinate donation flow to support efficient processing and workflow.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service to donors and internal teams.
• Assist with processing, cleaning, building fixtures or equipment, and related tasks as needed.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
