Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee, Inc. seeks a Donation Express Attendant to ensure steady daily donations at the Donation Express Centers.

You will assist donors, issue receipts, and safeguard items by sorting and packing them appropriately while keeping the DEC area clean and organized. You’ll greet donors, maintain attendance, and follow policies for acceptable donations, reporting daily donor activity to the management team.

Qualifications

• One year of experience working with the public.
• Must be able to lift/carry over 50 lbs.
• Must be able to push/pull loads of over 50 lbs.
• Must be able to read, write, and perform simple addition.
• Must be self-motivated to work independently toward goals.
• Must be able to provide own transportation to all assigned donations centers.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to relate well with all people.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospitality and prompt, friendly service to donors.
• Open and close the site as scheduled.
• Sort and secure donations as directed by management.
• Record donations and assist with daily donation summaries.
• Communicate daily donor activity to supervisors.
• Maintain a clean and safe DEC site and surroundings.
• Attend mandatory DEC meetings and participate in site activities.
• Distribute information about Goodwill to donors as directed.
