Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory in Montrose, CO seeks a part-time Clerk/Sorter to manage donations, operate the cash register when scheduled, and keep the store friendly and clean.

Responsibilities include sorting donations by department, stocking and pricing items, assisting volunteers, and handling POS transactions. A High School diploma and strong customer service are required; must be able to stand for long periods and pass a biennial background check.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to follow verbal and written directions.
• Knowledge of Excel and Word is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Sort all donations and route to the right department.
• Operate the POS system and stock the sales floor.
• Maintain cleanliness and friendly store environment.
• Assist volunteers and manage paperwork as needed.
• Be in charge when store manager is unavailable.
